Avantec's managed care products were originally developed over six years by a large team of developers working for a leading medical practice management software company. Due to changes in marketing direction their development and support of this software ended and the groundwork was laid for the formation of a new company.

In October of 2002, Avantec was founded by one of the principal software engineers of that company with a mission to carry on the development and support of those managed care products. It is our desire to grow alongside our customers, giving us time to fulfill their individual needs and forming a partnership for continuing success in the future. Avantec is committed to excellence and a long-term perspective toward the design and service of its products. This is what we believe will position our company to be a leading provider of managed care software for the healthcare industry.

Avantec has recently added new features and made major improvements to all of its products. The company has structured and focused its development toward leading edge technologies such as:

• Flexible, open DB design

• ODBC compliant applications

• Internet/Intranet connectivity    

The company has also joined forces with many of the industry’s major suppliers, including but not limited to, Microsoft, Seagate Crystal Reports, and numerous resellers and system integrators to bring an “integrated product” approach that solves customer problems proactively for today and tomorrow. 

Our managed care products are installed throughout the United States as well as internationally to a wide range of customers.  Our software applications are used primarily by network based managed care organizations such as TPAs, IPAs, MCOs, PPOs, HMOs and Specialty Carveouts.   We are proud to offer a powerful managed care product that provides comprehensive functionality, performance, and scalability.
